BUKIDNON first district Representative Joeman Alba has pushed a separate legislative measure that seeks to convert Manolo Fortich town into a component city.

Alba filed House Bill 2597 or "An Act Converting the Municipality of Manolo Fortich in the Province of Bukidnon into a Component City to be known as the City of Manolo Fortich".

This move has been pushed in the House of Representatives by former Representative Malou Acosta-Alba which was backed by senator Miguel Zubiri Jr. and former Manolo Fortich Mayor Clive Quiño in the 17th and 18th Congress.

Alba is prepared and determined to overcome the hurdles in pushing this bill in congress even as he maintained that Manolo Fortich has already met the requirements for a component city.

"Ang maong balaodnon dugay nang gipangandoy sa mga Manoleñous sanglit angayan lamang nga mahimong syudad ang maong lungsod sa Manolo Fortich nga sakop sa unang distrito sa Bukidnon," he said.
