May 27, 2021 at 10:48 am, No commentsCAMIGUIN, May 26 (PIA)--The National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) in coordination with the Joint Regional Task Force (JRTF) conducted the Provincial Leveling Session that includes all the local ELCAC task forces of the province, May 26 via Zoom Platform.
The Provincial TF-ELCAC, chaired by Gov. Jurdin Jesus M. Romualdo, along with the Municipal TF-ELCAC and the Barangay TF-ELCAC headed by the municipal mayors and punong barangays, respectively, were in attendance for the activity.
The Provincial Levelling Session aims to harmonize the efforts of the national task force with the local task forces down to the barangay level, towards a more intensified call to action against the Communist Terrorist Groups (CTGs).
Romualdo thanked the national and regional task forces for their effort in institutionalizing and enacting Executive Order No. 70, or the “Whole-of-Nation” Approach to end local communist armed conflict.
(I am thankful of this EO 70 because it really helped us in the Province of Camiguin since this is important in avoiding chaos and problem in our communities. This is also good since the national government urges all stakeholders to really provide a budget and to unite for such cause)
Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional Director Arnel M. Agabe, as the Head Secretariat of the RTF-ELCAC, explained the importance of the leveling off with the local task forces.
(The Provincial Levelling Session is the means to disseminate EO 70. We are also looking forward to attain unity so we can become one in fighting terrorists in our communities especially on your [provincial] level through the programs offered by the government)
In addition, Agabe encouraged the local task forces to continue and at the same time improve the current efforts they have been providing to their constituents.
(Let us continue what we have started and develop the programs of the government. We will really try to have the barangays take charge in ending insurgency so we can live peacefully)
Executive Order No. 70 was signed by President Duterte in December 2018, as the Philippine’s roadmap for peace and development by institutionalizing the Whole-of-Nation Approach. (DILG Camiguin/PIA10)
