ILIGAN CITY (PIA)--The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) particularly its Lanao del Norte 2nd District Engineering Office recently turned over a newly-completed two-storey multi-purpose building to the barangay council of Poblacion, this city.
In a simple turn-over ceremony, DPWH Assistant District Engineer (ADE) Saidale Mitmug handed over the key of responsibility to Poblacion Punong Barangay Anthony Pacaña.
“We are thankful to Congressman Frederick Siao for this beautiful building. We intend to use this as our Barangay Health Center so our residents can have a bigger and better facility for immunizations and other health-related activities," said Pacaña.
The two-storey building was built by Jamray Builders and Enterprises for the contract amount of P3.9-million.
“With this new building, we hope barangay Poblacion will be able to deliver better health services to its constituents which is very important now especially during this pandemic," said Mitmug.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was also attended by members of the barangay council, DPWH personnel, staff from the lone congressional district of Iligan City, and barangay health workers. (VNL/DPWH-PIO)
