Mambajao Mayor: ‘See you the soonest here in the island born of fire’
Mambajao, province of Camiguin is geared up for the re-opening of Tourism in the province.
Mayor Yggy Romualdo said the preparation started last month for the re-opening of all tourist spots located in the municipality.
“For months now we have preparing for the reopening of our tourist spots here in Mambajao, as a major source of income it will greatly help in equlibriting our finances,” he said during the vaccination roll-out for all tourism industry workers in the province, Monday, October 18.
“We revisited the carrying capacity and other plans of local government unit and prepared the safety seal requirements for all their offices and the touris spots.,” he added.
The municipality created an information guide for all the guest who will be coming in the province.

“We have hired more personnel to guarantee all the minimum health protocols and standards are followed and we have ensured that all of them already have their complete dose of the vaccination.” Mayor Romualdo said.
He also encouraged all of the employees of all tourism related establishments to be vaccinated and to further strengthen the vaccination roll-out by conducting mobile vaccination.
“We receieved positive responses to this and we thank that efforts of our Camiguin Tourism Association Officers and members for the full support and cooperation.”
As of the moment there are 12, 000 residents got their first dose and 9,586 completed their second dose.
“Hopefully we will be able to achieve immunity soon. As a local chief executive I can say that Mambajao is ready for the reopening of Tourism on October 25,” Mayor Romualdo said.
